Introducing one of our favorite weddings we’ve accomplished in 2016, which was taken place at the St. Regis, SF. The rooftop tented ceremony offers wonderful view of the SF, yet kept guests cozy indoor. Guest was able to fully enjoy both the sunlight and the ceremony at the same time. Meanwhile, our team had outright the ballroom by using extravagant tall backdrops, quixotic décor accessories, incorporating with dazzling lighting throughout the ballroom.
Whether you’re the bride or the groom, this is the time to show your fiancé(e) how much you value the relationship. Regardless of how you choose to show your affection, you need to be at the top of your game to make every single moment memorable. Here are 10 ways to blow them away on the wedding day!
1. A handwritten letter from your heart
You can give your best man, flower girl, or ring bearer a heartfelt note to take to your partner. Ensure that you’ve made it clear to him or her just how much you value your relationship. In the letter, let him or her know that you’re excited about spending forever together, and that you appreciate that he or she came into your life.
2. Engrave your fiancé’s band or a ring with a sweet message
You can engrave a memorable or thoughtful quote that will put a smile on his face. You can get some ideas from the internet and have an artistic person engrave it in style. If you are the groom, you can find some short, sweet sentence, phrase or quote and have an artist engrave it perfectly on her ring (if it’s wide enough to have engraved).
3. Plan some alone time after the vows
As mentioned earlier, your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event, so you probably want to maximize the fun (who doesn’t?!). For example, if your wedding is taking place near a historic site or body of water, you can organize a short, but romantic tour. For example, surprise him or her with a horse ride after the vows. If your wedding is taking place near the ocean or river, you can surprise her with a romantic boat ride.
4. Give him the foods he craves for
Believe it or not, men enjoy eating their favorite foods all the time, and your wedding is not an exception. For instance, if he is fond of pizza, you might want to send one to him and his groomsmen while they’re getting ready for the ceremony.
5. Unique gift
By the time you’re tying the knot, you should at least have a clue of a gift your fiancee always dreamed of. But this doesn’t mean that he or she can’t buy it. Maybe, he or she is just holding off on getting it. This is an opportunity to remind him or her that you care. Find him or her a gift that he or she has been wanting for some time.
6. Breakfast in bed the next morning
How does it feel waking up together in bed as a wife and a husband for the first time? Believe it or not, guys love this. So, do away with everything that might make you busy the day after your wedding, and spend more time in bed together. If you’re staying at a hotel on your wedding night, ask room service to deliver a breakfast feast the next morning. You can even take it a step further and give them a sweet note, or token of your affection, that can be delivered with your breakfast.
Dancing together at the wedding is one of the most romantic events of the evening. Sadly, it might not be one of your hidden talents. Tame your anxiety about dancing by taking secretive lessons leading up to the big day. Then, when the time comes, unleash your killer moves on the dance floor. Let the wedding planner or MC (Master of Ceremonies) know about this early enough to plan it into the schedule. Believe, me, if she’s never seen you dance before (or knows you don’t like dancing) she’ll love you even more. You can also request the wedding dj to organize her favorite songs into your surprise.
8. Show that you appreciate his or her culture
Some weddings endure conflicts between opposing cultures of the guests and family members. When you’re getting married, your fiancé(e) needs to know that you appreciate their culture. Try conveying this by dressing the same way that their culture dresses traditionally. The in-laws will be just as thrilled when they see you during the wedding.
9. An artistic portrait session
Portrait sessions should be incorporated in your wedding day plans since they’re the best way to re-live the day in years to come. You need great photos that you’ll want to take a look at every time either of you think about the wedding day. Some couples admit that they don’t enjoy looking at their wedding photos because they didn’t choose quality wedding photographers, or dislike the way their photos turned out. Don’t let this happen to you!
10. Keep the honeymoon destination under wraps
Nothing completes a wedding like a honeymoon, but most couples plan this vacation together and leave no room for surprises. If you really want to wow her, decide on a geographic area together, then keep the rest of the details (location, hotel, excursions) a surprise. Remember to give her a couple of clues so that she pack accordingly.
The engagement ring is just the beginning of the excitement. It’s the planning and execution of the wedding that allows the magic happen. Everyone wants their wedding day to be special. For a wedding planner, making sure that couples are satisfied with their wedding fuels the need to be creative and plan something new and different every time. A recent trend that has taken the market by storm is the photo booth rentals trend.
Wedding photography is one of the most crucial parts of a wedding since photographs capture the memories of that day, and can be kept with the couples forever. Therefore, this innovative new method of making the event memorable for not just the couple, but also the guests invited. Photo booths are taking San Francisco wedding planners by storm and here are a few reasons why.
Following the Selfie Trend
Photo booths enable guests and hosts to take pictures of themselves exactly how they want to. Following the tremendously popular “Selfie” trend, these photos are also a form of selfies whereby people can see themselves before taking the pictures. This means that they don’t have to worry about their appearance since the camera acts as a mirror for them to prepare for the pictures before the photo is taken. These ‘selfies’ are a fun way to capture all types of unique and creative poses and props, and makes their pictures more casual and friendly, rather than standing straight and tall in front of the photographer for stiff or forced pictures. The element of a candid photo also comes across in these pictures, making them appear more natural and playful.
When friends or family gather to have their pictures taken in photo booths, it makes for a fun conversation starter where they assess and evaluate each other’s props or poses and discuss the pictures once they receive them moments later. We all know how awkward weddings can be when everything is planned meticulously to the point that engaging in small talk seems to become extremely difficult for the guests. Yet photo booths are an entertaining way to socialize and get to know other guests you may not have spoken with otherwise.
Getting Instant Results
Guests often have to wait for days or weeks before they can see how the wedding photographer’s pictures turned out, hoping that photos of them at the wedding become part of the couple’s album. It’s can also be a tedious task for newlyweds who have to go through thousands of photographs before carefully selecting the best ones to put in their albums. After that, the layouts, sizes and order also have to be decided. With the photo booth, the guests and hosts are able to get their pictures and instantly grab their photos then and there. The photographs also make great wedding favors, and are the best way for guests to cherish the moments of that special day.
The new “Calligraphy booths” are also trending, where artists are hired to write phrases or messages for guests on their favors. This idea can be easily incorporated into the photo booth pictures, guests can take home pictures customized with small messages or phrases by the bride and groom.

Wedding planners have their work cut out for them; coordinating events, creating a timeline, securing the right vendors, and all the other necessities that make a wedding day perfect. But one thing they aren’t typically responsible for is the wedding dress. That responsibility lies solely on the bride, but it’s also one huge detail that cannot be overlooked.
One of the most stressful things about finding a wedding dress is the hefty price tag. Weighing in at thousands of dollars, a wedding dress can put a huge dent in a wedding budget and compete with other important factors, like inviting more guests. If you want to avoid racking up your credit card, you may consider renting a wedding dress. Not only does this save you tons of money, it gives you other benefits.
No Tedious After Wedding Care
Did your mom pull out her sacred (yet sadly outdated) wedding dress as soon as you broke the good news to her? Did the poofy shoulders, ruffles and gaudy sequins make you cringe? If you have visions of saving your dress for your future daughter, chances are, they’ll likely have the same reaction you did, since wedding dress trends can go out of style quickly. Instead of taking up a bunch of room in your closet, simply return the dress when the big day is over! Not only does this save you time, space and dry cleaning errands, it will also prevent an awkward conversation between you and your daughter years down the line.
Your Dress Will Fit
The extra stress of having to stay a certain size or lose weight to fit a dress can drive brides insane. Instead of worrying about every calorie consumed while you’re bogged down with wedding details, when you rent a dress it’s often available in multiple sizes. If you happen to lose or gain weight right before the wedding day, the solution is simple: Trade it in for a bigger size! This removes and prevents the headache of having to run back and forth to the seamstress to get the dress altered.
In the age of Pinterest-inspired fantasy weddings, most brides have a taste that far exceeds their budget. Their favorite dress may be a designer “special” that’s $7,500. If you want the designer look without having to worry about payments, you’ll likely be able to afford a couple-hundred-dollars daily rental fee, instead of a whopping $7,500. When you cut down on gown prices, you can invest your money in more important areas like wedding vendors, the guest list and the honeymoon.
Here at TDE Wedding, we organize the gowns by mermaid style, ball gowns, and A-line gowns. The rental is for 3 days (pick up day before, use the day of the engagement shoot or wedding, and return the day after). Our rental fee (about $400) also includes standard cleaning fees. We also rent veils, evening gowns and Chinese gowns (kwas and qipaos).
A lot of brides like to wear a wedding dress in their engagement photo shoots, but most don’t want to have to clean the dress before the big day, or risk wear and tear on the dress. Renting a wedding dress ensures that you can wear one dress for the engagement photo shoot and another for the wedding day–all without the hassle of cleaning and proper storage!
Renting a wedding dress can be a safe, smart and budget-friendly wedding option. You know what’s worst than a nightmare? Actually living one. That’s exactly what happens when newlyweds are suddenly shocked with mediocre wedding photography. Weddings are one of the most important events you will ever experience, so making sure you hire wedding photographers who can capture the style, tone and feeling of this day is imperative.
What do Barbie dolls, Legos, cartoons and weddings all have in common? Not all that much– except they’re one of the many things kids think about a lot. The only difference is, unlike childhood games and toys, we never get too old for weddings. In fact, the plans we’ve had since childhood tend to mature and develop overtime. If the “big day” is around the corner, you might be wondering how you can bring those childhood fantasies to life. Hiring experienced wedding coordinators is certainly half the battle, but there are plenty of other things to consider if you want to make this the perfect event. Check out these top bridal trends for 2016, and start planning the perfect wedding for you and your fiancé!
Modern, Rustic and Everything In Between
This year, you’ll see it all come together in one spectacular event. Vintage seating with spotless, whitewashed farm tables; eclectic and modernized centerpieces and a glamorous, ornate crystal chandelier. Sounds like a hodgepodge of styles, but under the professional guidance of a wedding planning team, like TDE Wedding, can showcase a unique touch of sophistication and class.
Color, Color and More Color
Expect bright, vivacious colors and bold themes. Experts predict that many will shift away from neutral palettes to rich tones. Floral arrangements and bouquets will flaunt lively colors. Other wedding décor will stand out with exciting, energetic hues.
Embrace the Sparkle
Just when you thought it went out of style, sequins, metallic and sparkles are back in center stage. Look for classic, Hollywood style glitz and glam, with a contemporary edge. Metallic and sequins will likely be found on cake tables, guest table linen cloths, wall coverings and on the bridal party.
Don’t Be Afraid to Show Some Skin
Brides are becoming more bold and daring with their bridal gowns. Dresses are flaunting backless designs and low cuts in 2016 more than ever before. Look sexier than ever when you flaunt some skin and embrace the trend.
